"Transform community for generations"
We are
CARE COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION - CCO
A community based organization that focuses on both creative and innovative integrated solutions to that challenges and problems existing in society/community today. Solutions that are employed to counter these challenges not only look at the physical being of an individual/community but the social, economical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being of an individual/community. With the smallest unit of a nation being the FAMILY, CCO's endeavors are focused on the functionality of families for with functional families, we have safe and healthy communities to live in and with this, sustainable transformation and development are inevitable.

How We Work

To facilitate sustainable community transformation/Development we use a strategy known as Community HEALTH Evangelism/Empowerment/Education(CHE)
With CHE individuals and communities are empowered to identify and solve their own physical, spiritual, social, economical and emotional needs by using Locally available resources. As a result we have changed lives, families, communities and nations with sustainable solutions.
OUR PROGRAMS
Find below a pictorial of our program activities, and to the right, a list of all our programs.
Families and communities that do things together usually have a higher chance of success at whatever they do to achieve this events such as Christmas parties, music dance and drama, games and sports, funerals are encouraged.
A healthy body, a healthy mind are all found in a healthy home. Through this program families are encouraged to have and do some things that constitute a healthy home such as a latrine, dish drying rack, a cloth line, a kitchen garden among others. All these have to be done with locally available resources
The biggest evils experienced today in families/communities both in the African context and globally have a man/boy child involved somewhere if not being the ring leaders, that is to say wars, domestic violence, family/child neglect, theft, poverty, murders, Family violence, among others and yet most of the interventions have been focusing mostly on the woman/girl child. Leaving the man/boy child un attended to with the assumption that they know what to do and are OK, and yet in actual sense they don’t and are not OK. It’s from the point of view that the Apex program was birthed to look at the root of the problem but focusing mostly on the man.
Because of both the African and some global culture settings where men are assumed to be the leaders or the pinnacle of family, the name comes to give men back their dignity and remind them of their God given right and obligation to be the apex of their families and carry on their responsibilities with the assurance that God has got their backs right from the beginning and won’t Fail them.
In this program usually a 6months program, men are challenged, listened to and given a chance to discover their inner most abilities and strengths and enlighten them about their influence both in their families but also in the community that they live in.
They are later tasked to put in practice in their families, among their peer groups and communities what they have learnt. And the multiplication takes effect.
Women are a strong pillar in families and in most cases have taken up the burden of being the heads of the family and the bread winners given the changing society but also the different scenarios they find themselves in.
Through the Women Cycle of Life. The woman/Girl child is empowered and reminded of how special she is both in the family and the Nation at large. Her role as a mother, sister, daughter, friend and helper is emphasized but she is also taught how to relate with her husband and children and above all how special her body works and the different changes that happen to it right from birth. A safe space is created for the women where they come talk about however also find solutions to their challenges they face in their everyday life.
Social and business skills are some of the skills that are taught to the women during this program.
Income in a home/family is an important aspect since families contribute to the sustainable transformation and development of the community. In this program both individuals and groups are trained on business management and how to come up. With small businesses that can supplement the income of the family.
Children are a gift from God and are with no doubt tomorrow’s leaders, fathers, mothers among others. Through this program children both empowered and reminded about their role in the family and how their decisions and choices contribute to family health and growth and eventually community and National Growth and Health.
They are taught both moral and spiritual lessons and also taught some skills such as farming, crafts, baking, tailoring, sports among others.
Education is one key element that is encouraged for the children be it formal or vocational education.
With Agriculture being one of Africa’s main economic activity many have adopted different methods of farming some of which have been harmful to both the environment but also to Human beings and Animals that’s why CCO we advocate for Farming God’s way which is a minimum tillage method of farming that focuses in protecting the environment, individuals and animals but also improving productivity and sustainability.
In order to improve the standards of living of a family and the community, individuals are taught different skills such as tailoring, welding and fabrication, Soap making, Bakery, among others to supplement the income of the different families and individuals. These are done either directly or through our partners.
CHE is a wholistic ministry strategy that reaches out to all communities with the truth of the Gospel by Addressing the People’s Physical, Spiritual, emotional and Social Needs.
Changing the attitudes of people is essential to sustainable behavior change and Development.
Individuals and Organizations championing sustainable transformation and Development in communities require a hands on experience to witness these skills and knowledge they have attained from the trainings in action but also to put into action what they have learnt.
The CHE Uganda Internship Program offers individuals and opportunity to experience CHE in action through intensive and engaging 1-2 Weeks program which involves learning how to effectively use locally available resources, consequently training communities and visiting some program sites in Uganda.
TOT 1 equips people to become trainers of Community Health Evangelists [CHEs]. The intent is that they will choose a location in which to start their own Community Health Evangelism [CHE] program. TOT 1 focuses on the development philosophy of what CHE is and how to start a CHE program. Spiritually, it emphasizes Evangelism.
As a result of TOT 1, the trainers return to their, choose a community in which to work, enter the community, and create interest within that community to implement their own CHE program.
Once a trainer has mobilized his community, he returns to the second phase of training. TOT 2 focuses on developing teaching materials and curriculum.
Spiritually, we emphasize follow-up of new believers. As a result, the trainers are ready to train committee members and CHE’s.
This training focuses on management and leadership of the program after one has established their program and its up and running.
